BOTTOM SHAPE AND COMFORT STEP

Adapt the shape of your pool to your needs

Choosing the configuration of your pool’s bottom shape is a crucial element to consider when planning your project. This parameter should be determined in advance, based on the intended use of your pool and the comfort you desire.

Curved Bottom

The curved bottom, also known as a spoon-shaped bottom, offers two water depths. It consists of a shallow area about 1.20m deep and a deeper area reaching up to a maximum of 1.70m in depth.

Thanks to its dual water depths, this type of bottom is ideal for family use, suiting both children and adults. By combining shallow and deep areas, you get a play space for children and a swimming area for adults. The curved bottom features a gentle slope, allowing a smooth transition from the shallow to the deep end.

Cut-Corner Bottom

Piscine Ambiances primarily recommends the cut-corner bottom, which features a consistent slope along the length of the pool, with a depth ranging from 1.20m to around 1.60m at the deepest point.

This shape is suitable for both regular swimmers and children, offering the advantage of allowing dives thanks to the greater depth at the end of the slope.

The first half of the pool is shallower, making this configuration more suitable for younger swimmers. It’s safer, offering a gradual entry into the pool, and more comfortable as it allows your body to adjust slowly to the water temperature.

Comfort Step

The comfort step, also called the safety step, is a platform that runs along the edges of the pool. Located at a depth of 1.20m and measuring 25cm wide, it allows for a resting break around the entire perimeter of your pool.

We are able to create other bottom shapes upon request, as each project is customized according to your preferences.
