The concrete pool: a proven concept
Piscine Ambiances has designed an ingenious and patented construction system for building pools with straight or angular lines in concrete. For pools with more complex shapes, Piscine Ambiances also offers other patented construction concepts that are more suitable.
Patented modular system
A guarantee of durability, the self-supporting structure withstands water pressure even without backfill, as well as ground pressure when the pool is empty. Result: very high resistance. The construction is carried out by assembling modular concrete panels without any bolting system between the panels. The weight of a panel does not exceed 35 kg to facilitate implementation. Thanks to its support reinforcements, this structure can also be used as a support for pool decks. Two reinforced concrete belts are cast on-site, ensuring a monolithic whole for the unalterable strength of the structure. This technique allows for the construction of custom pools.

For the construction of pools with more unusual shapes or in specific cases, Piscine Ambiances can offer other construction concepts more suited to your original creation project.
All our construction concepts use concrete as the main material to guarantee solid and durable structures. If you have a pool project with a more original configuration, we will then use traditional masonry to achieve the desired shape.
Optimized filtration from construction for easy maintenance
Water circulation is a determining factor for its quality and the future maintenance of your pool. Combined with efficient filtration, it ensures the success of the project, with very little maintenance required. It is therefore important to pay attention to it and to get an idea of what will seem most effective and least constraining to you.
For optimized filtration, we eliminate so-called “dead” water zones, such as the bottom and corners of the pool. This limits and facilitates pool cleaning, ensuring a uniform water temperature by distributing it from the bottom.
Pool water gyration, for optimum skimming
Water circulation is essential to direct impurities towards the filtration system, including the skimmers. This process creates a circular current that captures debris such as leaves, insects and dust. To optimise this flow, the skimmers are often positioned facing the prevailing wind, which, combined with the backwash nozzles, creates an effective rotary movement. So no matter where the dirt falls in the pool, it will be sucked up by the skimmers.
Inverted hydraulics
Based on water circulation technologies used in public pools, which we also master with our Aquaticplay brand, inverted hydraulics offers several advantages for private pools.
First, in terms of safety, the main drain discharges water, eliminating any risk of swimmers being trapped against this drain.
Moreover, if your pool is equipped with a heat pump, the heated water is distributed from the main drain, in addition to the wall returns, ensuring an even temperature distribution throughout the pool, including at the bottom. The disinfectant produced by the water treatment system is also better distributed.
Finally, with the main drain in discharge mode only, the skimmers operate at a higher filtration rate than when the main drain is in suction mode. This improves the skimmers’ skimming efficiency, allowing them to capture more impurities before they settle at the bottom of the pool.
